Tempting, eh? With interest rates dropping lower and lower, we suddenly find ourselves with the option of refinancing our mortgage and dropping our monthly payment. The catch is that our many projects-in-progress need to be 100% complete. In particular the two bathrooms need to be done. This has us scrambling to finish things up so we can schedule an appraisal to facilitate our refinancing.
- DECISIONS: Hired our landscaper for yard clearing/stump grinding/tree service; Agreed to use terracotta-colored concrete paint on the front porch floor and backyard patio pad; Agreed to (indefinitely?) postpone some large projects including: the back patio pavers, the screened room, the carport trellis and the gutters
- LABOR: Housepainters painted exterior of the house; Plumbers installed our two new toilets; J. finished painting the guest bathroom; M. assembled the new guest bath vanity and faucet; M. sorted and donated extra building materials to Habitat-for-Humanity Restore; M. started miscellaneous projects in the bathrooms
- MAJOR PURCHASES: 2 new Pfister contemporary bathroom faucets from Home Depot; chrome double-bar shower rods
Here's the new vanity faucets that came home with us from da "Orange Store"
